mission is to leverage the

Universities in New York State
and apply these resources to
market driven collaborations
with industry focusing on the
application of advances in
nano-material science and engineering
in the areas of energy, semiconductor
manufacturing and biotechnology.
Our purpose is to strengthen
the local economy by providing
infrastructure and equipment
necessary for the development
and incubation of new technology

NanoMaterials Innovation Center
(NMIC) is nestled in the foothills
of the Allegany Mountains and
centrally located in relation
to some of the finest material
science research institutions
in the country. The NMIC is
within 1 hour from Corning,
1-1/2 hours from Buffalo and
Rochester, 2-1/2 hours from
Syracuse, 3-1/2 hours from
Albany and 5-1/2 hours from
NYC. Allegany County is within
a day's drive time of 62% of
all manufacturing in the U.S.
and Canada.
